J.A.C.E. Program
Juvenile Advocacy & Character Empowerment
“J.A.C.E transforms discipline into development and challenges students to rise above the limitations placed on them.”
What is J.A.C.E?
The J.A.C.E Program is an alternative suspension and youth development initiative designed to support students who are facing behavioral challenges, school discipline, or suspension. Instead of allowing students to fall further behind, J.A.C.E provides a structured environment where youth can reflect, grow, and develop the leadership and character skills needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Why the Program Exists
Why J.A.C.E Matters
Many students who face suspension are dealing with deeper challenges such as identity struggles, emotional stress, negative influences, or a lack of mentorship. Traditional discipline often removes students from the learning environment without addressing the root causes of behavior.
J.A.C.E was created to change that.
Through mentorship, leadership development, and character-building activities, we help students recognize their potential, take responsibility for their actions, and develop the tools needed to make better choices moving forward.

Expected Outcomes
Through participation in the J.A.C.E Program, students will:
• Develop stronger decision-making and conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrate improved behavior and accountability
• Re-engage academically and socially within their schools
• Build confidence, leadership skills, and positive peer relationships

Who the Program Serves
The J.A.C.E Program is designed for middle school and high school students who have been assigned an out-of-school suspension.
Too often, students view suspension as a reward rather than a consequence. Being removed from school can allow them to avoid schoolwork and responsibility while spending time unsupervised and without structure. During this time, students often fall further behind academically and socially.
This pattern can quickly become a negative cycle that reinforces disengagement from school and increases the risk of long-term failure.
The J.A.C.E Program interrupts that cycle by providing students with structured mentorship, leadership development, and character-building experiences that redirect behavior and promote growth rather than punishment.
Program Goals
The J.A.C.E Program is designed to create positive behavioral and academic outcomes for students while providing schools with a constructive alternative to traditional suspension. Our goals include:
Promote personal accountability and responsibility
Students learn to take ownership of their actions, understand consequences, and develop personal responsibility for their behavior and choices.
Develop leadership and character
Through mentorship and guided reflection, students strengthen their character, build leadership skills, and learn how to positively influence their peers and communities.
Improve decision-making and emotional regulation
Participants develop emotional intelligence, conflict-resolution skills, and healthier ways to respond to challenging situations.
Reduce Suspensions & School Discipline Referrals
The program works to lower repeat suspensions and disciplinary incidents by addressing the root causes of behavior and promoting positive alternatives.
Prevent Dropout & Increase School Engagement
J.A.C.E helps students reconnect with their education, improve attitudes toward school, and stay on track academically.
Reduce Recidivism & Redirect Behavior
By providing mentorship, structure, and accountability, the program helps prevent repeated negative behaviors and supports long-term positive outcomes.
